Everyone’s a Critic

about

judgemental.wordpress is my new baby. I’m not new to the world of blogging, but I’m far far away from the celebrity blogger circle. I blog so I can log my thoughts (cos I have terrible memory), and play with html (Yea, deep down, I’m quite a geek and/or dork.. not a good combo).

Unlike my previous more personal blog, I’m hoping that this one can help me make a difference in some things I believe in:

More specifically, improving consumer rights in Malaysia. We too deserve to be given quality service and quality products for our money (not just our caucasian counterparts).

Food blogs, without realising it, helps us move towards this direction: by creating an environment of more perfect information, in due time shop owners or producers will realise that one bad review on the internet will do terrible things to the demand of their product (food or otherwise). Hence, incentive for them not to try to screw us over (pardon my language).

I’m hoping that for every bad (and good) experience I have (I’m especially targetting the bigger companies like McDs/Nando’s or Padini/Carrefour..), I intend to document it on this weblog (in addition to other more random things).

I’ll do my own little online research to look for similar reviews/complaints. Then I’ll compile it and send it to the company HQ. Of course, ideally, I should have lots of readers.. =_=

Whilst it seems that I may be more inclined to give feedback on poor customer service, I am aiming to provide positive feedback as well. Credit should always be given where it’s due.

Regardless, the feedback is meant to be constructive – it will be objective, reasonable and unbiased (I should get one of those, ‘I will not be bribed‘ badges from our friendly policemen =_=). The end game, improved value for us and more profits for them – win-win (awww….).

I’m living in my ideal world.. la la la la ~~~

P/S I’ve already sent Nando’s my feedback. They responded within a day (impressive). I’ll be going back in a month or so, see if they walk the talk.
